STRIPPER DECK INFORMATION
The Fine Stripper Deck
The Stripper Deck, also known as the Tapered Deck, is one of the most versatile tools in card magic. With the right handling, it allows performers to create impossible-looking effects, from locating selected cards to demonstrations that appear to require advanced sleight of hand.
The difference is in the cut. Commercially produced Stripper Decks often use a deeper taper, making the secret easier to detect. Each Decksmith Fine Stripper Deck is individually hand-crafted with a refined, performance-focused taper designed for smoother handling, a more natural feel, and greater confidence during performance.
Hand-cut. Individually tested. Built for magicians.
END STRIPPER DECK
The End Stripper Deck uses the same fundamental principle, but the taper is applied across the short edges of the cards rather than the long edges.
This creates a different handling characteristic and gives the performer another way to locate and control a reversed card within the pack.
The End Stripper is particularly useful for performers who prefer working from the ends of the deck or want to explore applications that feel different from a traditional long-edge Stripper Deck.
Like every Decksmith deck, the preparation is refined to keep the secret almost completely invisible during normal handling.
BELLY STRIPPER DECK
The Belly Stripper Deck takes the Stripper principle in a different direction by introducing the taper through the centre of the card rather than simply along a straight edge.
The result is a distinctive handling characteristic that allows the performer to locate and control a reversed card using the same underlying principle of subtle differences in card width.
The Belly Stripper opens up a different range of possibilities for card control and handling, while retaining the deceptive appearance of an otherwise ordinary pack.
It's another example of the Stripper principle being adapted into a specialised performance tool rather than simply being a single type of gimmicked deck.
WHICH ONE IS RIGHT FOR YOU?
If you're new to Stripper Decks, the Fine Stripper is the natural place to start. It offers the most familiar handling and provides a straightforward introduction to the principle.
The End Stripper offers a different handling approach, while the Belly Stripper is aimed more towards performers who want to explore alternative applications of the principle.
